Transferring Your License
What to Expect
If you’re relocating or expanding your practice to include multiple jurisdictions, it’s important to become licensed wherever you intend to work.
In the veterinary community, we often refer to this as a license transfer, but keep in mind that getting licensed in another jurisdiction doesn’t mean you’re giving up your existing license. As long as you meet each jurisdiction’s requirements, you can get and maintain licenses in multiple jurisdictions.
At the AAVSB, we have services that can help if you:
- Are moving to a different jurisdiction and need to get licensed to practice there.
- Want to get licensed to practice in multiple jurisdictions at the same time.
